BEGIN QUOTE: ************** Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research is actively recruiting wildlife enthusiasts and bird lovers to participate in a training workshop that will teach volunteers how to help with wild bird care. An Adult Care Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23, from noon to 5:00 pm at the Tri-State's Center for Wildlife in Newark Delaware. Each year the clinic cares for more that 2800 indigenous birds ranging from hummingbirds and robins to great blue herons and eagles. The small staff of wildlife professionals relies on a dedicated corps of volunteers to care for these injured birds. Information taught includes how to handle, feed, and care for these injured or ill birds at the center. All volunteers who deal with wildlife must be at least 16 years old. Register by calling 302-737-9543 or email jbartley@tristatebird.com.
