As we moved east on Kingsley Trail, things picked up some, but we ended up with only 21 species in 2+ hours. Best birds were a Hermit Thrush, a Brown Creeper, and a flock of at least a dozen bluebirds. The bluebirds were in deep woods, between the schoolhouse and Hard Cider Trail. Neither Toni nor I remember ever seeing a flock of bluebirds in deep woods, only in open areas with isolated trees. How unusual is this? Btw, for tomorrow we are considering either Ft. McHenry (for Snow Buntings) or Pt. Lookout (for the Harlequin Duck), since we have never seen either of those in MD. Has anyone seen either of those recently?
