(no, not the Painted Bunting -- it had left two days before, alas) and we saw a large flock of Canada Geese on a field behind the McDonald's on Kent Island. We stopped and looked through them for a while and were rewarded with a single small form Canada that had the characteristics of Richardson's Goose (per Sibley). We also stopped for a while at Sandy Point S.P. and didn't see any Snow Buntings, though that doesn't mean none are there. Lots of Lesser Scaup offshore (over 500), couple of hundred Ruddy Ducks and a few Goldeneye and Red-breasted Mergansers were the waterfowl of interest. That and a lone Sanderling.
