This morning at 7:50 am near entrance to Rock Creek Park a female PILEATED WOODPECKER landed on the trunk of a tree just below a pair of Bluebirds' nesting box. The male EASTERN BLUEBIRD immediately flew directly at the woodpecker and drove it away.
