If i were to try, i would start at 1000, but estimates are not my strong point. 15 minutes later, it was hard to find more than a couple dozen. There were also more scoters (100% Surf as best as i could tell) than i've ever seen before -- easily 2000+ of them, and several Red-throated Loons along with more usual stuff. The Canvasback flock behind Chaney's Restaurant was back at 188 birds -- more than i've seen all winter (after 2 weeks of not seeing them at all). Lastly, at Rod & Reel, there was a very large flock of Cedar Waxwings -- the first i've seen anywhere since Feb 8! Oh, and behind my house this morning there were 6 imm. Bald Eagles having a meeting on the mud flats. It appeared they were discussing how to divide up Jug Bay into territories when they grow up. danny bystrak bristol, AA Co.
