The last Whips to sing (so far) were on 9/02/01 about 8:10. They should be gone soon and I will miss them. I had my first Red-breasted Nuthatch today. Also today a singly young Common Yellowthroat was feeding in the flowers and a molting Blue Gray Gnatcatcher was feeding in the Maple about the flowers. Migration is on the way. The female Pileated Woodpecker continues to feed on the dead trees around the property. On 8/312/01 I had a small flock of Common Nighthawks heading north about 7:30 PM. Enjoy your migration.
