What do you think? >> Several years ago in Randallstown, a 4th grade student pulled me away from bus duty (not at all a difficult thing to do). He reported seeing some kind of quail in the skimpy bushes directly next to the sidewalk the kids carouse over. Sure enough, there was a Bobwhite hiding in the sparse & pathetic cover of a really worn bush. Later, I asked someone from the Baltimore county wildlife management department if that sighting was unusual. I was told that it wasn't (don't know if I believe that) and that the birds are established in several older developments around Baltimore county.
