As Rick describes there is a lot of vegetation to scan through. At the Bush River near RT 40, five Least Terns were seen. The area to see them is from behind the motel and the crab stand along Rte. 40 just 1/4 mile east of the turnoff for Rte. 24. Both birds were in the back of the pond in the area where there is some open water and some frags and cattails. It took a fair amount of scoping because the vegetation is thick but Icould find at least one bird on every two or three scans. I may have found a nest, bu the bird was hidden in the weeds a long way off and I could not be certain. Eirik A.T.
