There were only 9 species of warblers, most of them local nesters: Northern Parula (18), Yellow (4); Yellow-rumped (just 1, greatly facilitating observations!); Black-throated Green (1); Yellow-throated (7); Blackpoll (7--usually been in the 20s in past years); Redstart (2); Prothonotary (10); Common Yellowthroat (4). Other interesting species or numbers: Great-Blue Heron (21--usually in single digits); Bufflehead (1); Great-crested Flycatcher (13); Eastern Bluebird (3, a female and two newly fledged young); Baltimore Oriole (11--double the usual number).
