Highlights from Loch Raven this AM:

Bridge 1:
Common merganser-- 96
Hooded Merganser-- 29
Red-Breasted Merganser-- 2

Paper Mill Rd. Flats:
Gadwall-- 9
Black Duck-- 26
Pintail-- 2 (m + f)
Green-winged Teal-- 17
Killdeer-- 4

One of the male Gadwalls had a large white stripe at the base of the
bill.  I had seen this bird briefly last Saturday and didn't know what
to make of it.  Today there was no doubt-- a slightly odd Gadwall.
