I talked to at least 9 other birders (only 4 were local Allegany County birders). I am glad this has generated some interest. I suspect the bird is out there someplace but may have found other places to feed. I added some more bird seed and drove along the road and walked along (and behind) the canal hoping to scare the bird up. I will be checking again this weekend. Birds of note in the area today included a light phase Rough-legged Hawk, a few RC Kinglets and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Yesterday I saw an imm. Northern Harrier in the fields beyond the end of the road. J.B. ====================================================== John B. Churchill, M.S.
