After that it was ra ther slow, with only the odd bird in the maintenance yard, Nature Center and Military Field areas. 15 Species of warbler were recorded. The most numerous was Common Yellow- throat (15), Redstart (15), Black and White (12), Magnolia (12), Chestnut Sided (ca.8) as well as Ovenbird (3), Nashville (2), Blackburnian (3), Pa rula (2), Canada (2), Blackpoll (1-2), Bay-breasted (1), Black-Throated Blue ( 1), Black-throated Green (1) [seen by Jim Lemert], Wormeating (1). There were also about 10 Red-eyed Vireos, 1 Yellow-throated Vireo, 4-5 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, 2 Scarlet Tanagers, 1 Swainson's Thrush, 1 "Traill's" Flycatch er, 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird and a Nighthawk giving a good show over the open area. Most of the activity was pretty early and the light was mediocre so I gue ss a lot of birds got through unidentified!
