Not a whole lot of activity. Still a few species are singing - Eastern Wood-Pewee, Acadian Flycatcher, House Wren, Field Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Cardinal, and Indigo Bunting. Ended up with 35 species. My highlights were a Northern Flicker, which are rare here in summer, and a probable migrant Eastern Kingbird. For other people the highlight would probably be the pair of Blue Grosbeaks about 0.4 mile west of the intersection of Hughes Road and River Road. They were calling loudly in an oak tree on the north side of RRd, where the overhead wires cross the road. I had 81 Rough-winged Swallows on the wires when I was coming in.
