There were a couple of nice birds on the river and along the canal. A BLACK TERN was flying upstream in the company of anot= her tern (I'm guessing Forster's). PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS were conspicuous at both locks. There was an immature BLUE GROSBEAK momentarily near the mil= l ruins.
